To create their third collection for Patterson Flynn, Charlap Hyman & Herrero drew from a deep well of design references—Madeleine Castaing’s interiors, Gio Ponti ceramics, Cecil Beaton set designs, astrological charts—and conjured up surprising designs that are at once romantic and profound. Rife with lush ombre clouds and shining full moons rendered in hand-knotted silk and wool, the rugs are abstract yet literal, super saturated yet subtle. They’re also filled with the winking whimsy and surreal sophistication that’s trademark Charlap Hyman & Herrero.
