Infused with a sense of historicism, Seraph’s design was inspired by a Greek textile fragment. The interlocking motifs have a mesmerizing regularity, while the smaller internal patterns are full of visual interest. This hand- knotted Persian is done in wool and silk with tiny portions that drop out to reveal the flatweave ground, giving off a deeply nuanced, timeworn impression.
