Description

Yuri was inspired by two sources, a modern Scandinavian rug done in a rich solid color and a meandering diamond motif from a vintage Turkish piece. The Turkish rug’s pattern was reinterpreted as the border for Yuri. The hand-knotted Persian wool is finished with baby fringe, and an abrash dying technique imparts a gorgeous strie. Designed in collaboration with Thomas O’Brien, Yuri was conceived as a companion to our Lara rug.
