Description

The endless knot motif first appeared in Indic art and has become an important element in Buddhist and Celtic art. Here, it’s made modern in a mesmerizing pattern of interconnecting loops and overlapping lines. The solid ivory colorway defines the design through textural variations of matte and shine, as well as differences in the pile and loop heights. The direction of the tufted loops follows the lines of the pattern, enhancing the overlap effect. The ground is tufted in cut pile nylon, which has a luminous sheen, while the linework is worked in recessed wool loops.
