Based on an original collage created by a Patterson Flynn artist, Patchwork is a play on positive and negative space. In Ivory, a beautiful solid-colored rug in a pale neutral, the design is defined through shifts in material. Abstract shapes, hand-knotted of cut silk, float over a wool cut pile ground, spilling in some places over the border, which is made of wool and silk combined. The subtle variations in sheen and texture accentuate the intentionally irregular motif, giving this Tibetan rug an exquisite texture and a subtly modern appeal.
