Part of Charlap Hyman & Herrero's collection with Patterson Flynn, the shaped rug is made from hand-coiled abaca, a highly flexible natural fiber. Oversized dots, made of coiled black abaca that highlights the glossiness of the fiber, contrast with the creature’s body, in which the weave of the rug is elongated and more textured.
